Who Am I ? My love to excursions developed in the youth movement. It was a system of a 17 years old coach (me) leading field trip of dozens of 14-15 y.o - hiking the trails of Israel's deserts & mountains. I graduated the school of tourism in 1974 and started practicing in 1978. So many years later (you figure out...) I'm still around - practicing. It might testify to the fact that either: a. I got stuck in this . or b. I enjoyed living my life in a never ending or ever lasting vacation, (..my clients' vacation.) meeting people from around the world, in a most stimulating encounter. It has been a demanding challenge - but a fulfilling one and a rewarding - intellectually as well as economically. You bet it's B. I was born in Jerusalem in 1951. Had most of my education in Israel (graduated H.S. in Chicago Ill.), went through military service like every Israeli does (.. rephrasing: every contributing Israeli citizen does.) In between tours I managed to surround myself by a family. My familiarization with the Christian faith and tradition is beyond what most Jewish people usually go through - for years I have conducted church tours tours from the US, Canada and France to Israel - in Jesus foot steps. My acquaintance with the Israeli economy - industrial corporations, governmental policies, market conditions - is very good. Many of my clients are Israeli firms who ask me to host their business guests. I added to my experience along the years work with the press, with organizing committees of international congresses, with travel agents in a promotional work - I guess that after all these years I have covered most of the ground in my field. In time I added to my education in tourism further academic education in political science and international relations as well as partial education in the business school of the Tel Aviv University. |
